I love everything about the property. I really felt bad that our stay was short - we checked in around 7PM, Dec. 29 and had to check out early morning, Dec. 31. What you see is what you get. The pictures posted here at Booking.com ARE NOT deceiving. The Hotel gave the “European” ambiance. Check-in was a breeze and staff were all helpful. We checked out early (6AM) but we were eagerly accommodated. ROOM WAS SPACIOUS! I can’t help but compare our hotel room in Tokyo with our Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo room. Bath and room amenities were all provided - we had slippers, sleepwear, hair dryer and everything we need! We also had free water per guest. I was also given freebies when I responded to the survey ❤️ I honestly appreciate that the Management encourages feedback to provide better service to guests. I also commend the hotel for having space to put oir luggage under the bed — really an innovative approach to storing our stuff. Lastly, LOCATION was PERFECT!!!!! 1. Around 4 mins walk to Sapporo station - which is really great especially that we visited during winter!!!! Popular attractions such as Odori park, Clock and TV tower were less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. 2. Parco Mall is also within walking distance (if you’re like me who loves to walk while snowing). But if you don’t want to walk, Uber / taxi is just 8 minutes (around JPY1,000 per way) 3. Odori subway station exit (which is meetup point of my day tour) was less than 5-minute walk away. Hotel Monterey Edelhorf made my Sapporo vacation truly memorable!

1. Beautiful European style building with touches of classic charm. Rooms were spacious and comfortable especially in the new building. We booked a triple for 2 kids and 1 adult. Everyone slept so well. 2. Breakfast is amazing. We stayed over new years so a lot of traditional Japanese new years foods were featured. The room was also beautiful ballroom style open space with large windows and natural light. 3. Spa was lovely and has a relaxation lounge attached which serves free drinks in evenings. Both men and women can use the lounge so great for families. 4. Parking is also very reasonable at 1500 yen a day with unlimited entry and exit. 5. Fantastic central location short walk from JR Sapporo and central Sapporo.

Great location, 10-15 min walk from JR Sapporo train station. 5-6 min walk from Odori station. The staff were incredibly helpful. We enjoyed the slight "European" touch to the hotel. The room and shower were clean. Sufficent space in the bathroom. Liked the smell of the bathroom amentites. Loved the spacious room! The bed was very comfortable too. Liked that there was a laundry room and accessible toilets in the lobby. Did not have time for the free onsen but have heard good things! Wish I had more time in Sapporo so I could stay for longer at this hotel :)

I had a wonderful 6-night stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, close to key attractions with easy access to public transportation, and there’s a minimart conveniently located in the building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel. The reception and staff were very service-minded and provided excellent service.

Chutitham

The location is one of the best. Short walking distance to Sapporo station, Odori Park and Nishi market. Cost only around ¥1000 to take taxi from Suzukino to hotel if you are lazy to take train or bus. Airport liner from new Chitose airport stopped right in front of the hotel while going to airport stopped at the building next to it. Oh, Yamato counter is just at the basement of the hotel. So convenient to drop your baggage or box there.
